Research Project Progress Report: Week 4
This week I looked up more sources for my research paper. the most valuable thing i learn about my research topic is that technology does do a major part of shortening our attention span.I have not yet had any challenges that concern my topic. I have no questions to ask about my research. My goal for this week is to finnish all my unfinished work.

Research Project Progress Report: Week 3
I didn't accomplish anything this week. There was nothing valuable that I learned about my topic. I did not encounter any challenges, there are no question I have to ask and my focus has not shifted and for this week I am going to finish my annotated bibliography.

Independent Blog 5
Passage-"she starts taking off my clothes my clothes, and I start taking off her clothes"
Response-I chose this quote because I think it changes the relationship between Eric and Darren and at the same time it changes the relationship between Darren and Christine. Right before this event between Daren and Christine happen Darren was telling Christine that he feels bad that he is not hanging with Eric as much and after him and Christine have sex he wants to be with Christine more and doesn't want to be with Eric as much. The relationship between Darren and Christine becomes much stronger. After they had sex they became closer and they just want to be with each other.

Independent Blog #4
Passage-"Hi Eric, Hi Darren. I'm Christine"
Response-During this part of the book the focus is taken away from Darren and Eric and focuses more on Darren and Christine. Darren meets Christine one day at lunch by the loading docks, they begin to talk and they find that they have a lot in common she then invites him to a party and he goes he feels awkward at this party so he hangs with Christine the entire time Christine tries to be with her friend who just got out of a relationship Darren is about to leave then she tells him to stay then they end up kissing. After the party Darren goes home and gets drunk with his brother and almost tells his brother Eric's secret.

Response-when Darren first learns about this from Eric I feel he is kind of insensitive of Eric's feeling after he learns this it's all he can talk about and then he begins to talk about what his limits are and he begins to think of ways to knock him out like with laughing gas over the next few weeks the two start to go to each others house they stay up all night and then go to school and they repeat that process for weeks then one day Darren discovers something he goes to Eric's house and he tells him to go away he opens the door a little and Darren sees Eric's eyes are bloodshot and he has black circles around his eyes it turns out that every couple of weeks Eric has hallucinations for 24 hours as a result of no sleep after Eric agrees with Darren about testing his limits so they get roofies and they both take them Darren gets knocked out and Eric is just in a drunk state so they decide to go to IHop after they eat they wait for the bus and Eric collapsed and hits the pavement.

Then Eric says "I can't sleep"
Response- This is the turning point in there friendship after this Eric tells Darren that he has only told a three other people and they all assume that he is either crazy or it is temporary.after being told Darren wanted to do a test so he stayed up to show Eric that he could do it to and show that anyone could do it and he was stalking him in school and asking his teachers if has been drowsy or sleeping at all and they all said no so the next night he wanted to watch Eric the entire night to see if he was telling the truth when he was doing that he fell asleep and when he awoke he saw that Eric was finishing a book and Eric recorded himself the who time and at that point Darren finally believed him.
